Boarding School

Boarding School

What is boarding school

The arrangement of a boarding school creates conditions that facilitate academic success with the help of 24/7 dedicated student welfare teams. Classes are small, giving individuals more quality time and attention. Such schools typically have libraries and media centres with significant knowledge resources as well as assistance. Boarding schools transform students into responsible individuals through lessons taught by teachers who are passionate about their subjects.

Why to attend a boarding school abroad

This will allow you to gain a better understanding and appreciation of a new culture and tradition, building you as an individual to become more adaptable in new environments. It will also help you to become more open-minded and better able to connect with other cultures. A boarding school will teach you to think, question, and work independently.

During your stay abroad, there will be elements in your course that will discuss and encourage the respecting of your peers, as well as respect for other views and beliefs of individuals in the wider community. You will be able to live like the locals, improve your English, and gain further life skills in a varied experience. The combination of academic and key life skills gained from this will empower the individual and enrich their future.

How it will help you to build your career

We believe that it is not just what is taught that makes an impact on the pupil, but also how it is taught. Boarding schools provide a unique mix of experiences that you can use to build an extraordinary career in life.

Firstly, interacting and communicating with other people at an early age is known to be very important for one’s core personal development, and especially helpful for professional activities in the future. To serve and support individuals is a skill that boarding schools teach their pupils. Most careers require involvement in and appreciation of a wide variety of tasks. Pupils are taught that every action should have a purpose.

A boarding school would wish and require their pupils to learn from the staff, and the students to learn from each other. Planned activities will facilitate these to improve their knowledge as well as gain experience and expertise in a variety of fields. The body is not neglected either; boarding schools give much importance to proper nourishment as well as rest and relaxation.

How does boarding school work

A boarding school is a residential school where pupils live and study during the school years. Most boarding schools are co-educational, though there are many single-sex schools too, and there is a mix of both international and local pupils. There are ‘boarders’ who reside at the school while the ‘day pupils’ return home after the school day and live with their families. There are two types of boarding schools: independent boarding schools and state boarding schools.
