Class 12 qualifications from some countries are not equivalent to A-level qualifications in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Nor are many overseas Bachelor’s degrees equivalent to those in the aforementioned countries. Pathway and similar courses are often considered necessary if you wish to successfully enrol on to a medical or engineering course, or any other course from a top ranking university.
In situations where students do not have the relevant High School (GCSE) results to start a degree, they are required to complete a Foundation, Pre-Masters or Pathway course. Similarly, these courses give you the foundation you need to gain access to undergraduate and post-graduate degree studies.
